Fran studied Fine Art Painting at The Old Guildhall, London, has exhibited in both London and Norfolk, was shortlisted for the prestigious John Moores Painting Prize in 2008, and was the winner of The John Hurt Holt Festival Art Prize in 2014. 

Her most recent works are figurative, multi-media paintings. These paintings include layered paper, pastel, inks, graphite and Farrow and Ball emulsion colours. Expressive and painterly in style, they play with energetic brushwork and blocking colour, often featuring collaged or painted borders.
